央行机关全体干部职工悼念汶川地震遇难同胞

为表达对四川汶川大地震遇难同胞的深切哀悼，今天下午14时28分，中国人民银行机关全体干部职工在半降的国旗下集体肃立默哀3分钟。中国人民银行党委书记、行长周小川致悼词，全国人大财经委副主任委员吴晓灵，人民银行党委委员、副行长刘士余，党委委员、行长助理杜金富参加哀悼。
周小川说，5月12日14时28分，四川汶川发生8级特大地震灾害。地震发生后，党中央、国务院高度重视，胡锦涛总书记、温家宝总理亲赴灾区现场指挥抗震救灾，全党、全军、全国各族人民紧密团结在中央周围，众志成城，团结一心，共同抗灾。这场地震灾害破坏之严重、人员伤亡之多、救灾难度之大都是历史罕见的，截至目前，在这场灾难中遇难的同胞有32476人，另有22万多人受伤。今天，我们怀着十分沉重的心情，沉痛悼念在汶川地震灾难中遇难的同胞。
周小川强调，当前，抗震救灾任务依然严峻，灾后重建工作任务十分艰巨。面对这场灾难，必须化悲痛为力量，继续全力支持灾区，做好抗震救灾和灾后重建工作，同时把对灾区人民的关爱之情，转化为做好本职工作的强大动力，恪尽职守，为夺取抗震救灾斗争的全面胜利贡献力量。
